We're The Northwestern House, and we've been a restaurant here in Sheboygan, WI, since 2001. We're in the business of creating memories, making friends, and serving yummy American food.

We offer our fish fry daily, along with chicken, hamburgers, and much more. Bring your family into The Northwestern House and allow us to craft memories that will be sure to leave you smiling for weeks!

Our Story

The Northwestern House is a family-owned restaurant that's been serving Sheboygan, Wisconsin since 2001. The business was founded by Mr. and Mrs. Gosses, who are successful restaurateurs with experience in opening multiple restaurants. The business is now a multi-generational business that features unique items on the menu that are sure to delight your taste buds. We're in the business of creating memories, making friends, and serving yummy American food. We believe that a great meal is more than just food on a plate. It’s about making friends and memories! We're all about the good times, so come on in and join us for some fun!

Our goal is to provide every customer with a warm and friendly atmosphere, as well as delicious food. We believe that the best way to achieve this goal is by working hard and having fun while doing it. We are here to serve you the best food and service in town. After all, life is too short not to enjoy your food! We take pride in offering you a unique dining experience, with a menu that includes Sheboygan Steak sandwiches, daily fish fry, homemade tortes, broasted chicken, and much more! Whether you're looking for a quick bite or a full-on meal, we've got you covered. We have a video poker machine that you can use while you wait for your food, and we are open for carryout and dine-in. We are proud to offer our patrons a full bar stocked with a variety of wines, beer, and cocktails to suit any taste.

We ate at Northwestern House for the very first time, and WOW, what an amazing experience! Absolutely amazing people, delicious food, and such a welcoming atmosphere! I had the broasted chicken, and it was awesome! But the real stars of the show were the homemade tortes! We tried the pistachio and lemon raspberry, and both were absolutely incredible! You can taste the love that goes into the food! Thank you for the wonderful experience and all the smiles! We will definitely be back! 🙃

This place absolutely rocks!!!!! Heading up I 43 to Lambeau Field and decided to make a quick stop in Shevegas. Super glad we chose this place. The building used to be a railroad station and the decor on the inside reflects this. Super cool Old time feel with extremely friendly people and excellent service. The prices here are absolutely awesome! My four piece , broasted chicken dinner with broasted potatoes , coleslaw and rye bread was 10.95. The chicken was amazing. Couldn't leave without grabbing a couple homemade tortes for the road. Numerous flavors to choose from. This place is great if you're looking for a quick pit stop and a bite of food while heading up north to the stadium.This is your place. Definitely moved into my top ten bang for your buck restaurants.

This is an historic train stop restaurant /bar. Food had a Wisconsin style to it. Very tasty. Buns are different but tasty. Cash only.

Do you offer carry-out options?
