We're The Northwestern House, and we've been a restaurant here in Sheboygan, WI, since 2001. We're in the business of creating memories, making friends, and serving yummy American food.

We offer our fish fry daily, along with chicken, hamburgers, and much more. Bring your family into The Northwestern House and allow us to craft memories that will be sure to leave you smiling for weeks!

Our Story

The Northwestern House is a family-owned restaurant that's been serving Sheboygan, Wisconsin since 2001. The business was founded by Mr. and Mrs. Gosses, who are successful restaurateurs with experience in opening multiple restaurants. The business is now a multi-generational business that features unique items on the menu that are sure to delight your taste buds. We're in the business of creating memories, making friends, and serving yummy American food. We believe that a great meal is more than just food on a plate. It’s about making friends and memories! We're all about the good times, so come on in and join us for some fun!

Our goal is to provide every customer with a warm and friendly atmosphere, as well as delicious food. We believe that the best way to achieve this goal is by working hard and having fun while doing it. We are here to serve you the best food and service in town. After all, life is too short not to enjoy your food! We take pride in offering you a unique dining experience, with a menu that includes Sheboygan Steak sandwiches, daily fish fry, homemade tortes, broasted chicken, and much more! Whether you're looking for a quick bite or a full-on meal, we've got you covered. We have a video poker machine that you can use while you wait for your food, and we are open for carryout and dine-in. We are proud to offer our patrons a full bar stocked with a variety of wines, beer, and cocktails to suit any taste.

Gosses for lunch today. I just had one of the best steak sandwiches I've had in a long time. Could easily cut back on the butter but with sheboygan rolls to soak it up, why not go for it.

The fried chicken and broasted potatoes are amazing. The breading on the chicken has some sort of extra spice in it that gives it a lot of flavor, maybe cumin. It's a cool location, too, right next to the train tracks. Every time I drive my this place, I can smell them cooking the steak sandwiches, and it smells incredible. I'll have to try one someday. This place is cash only. Dont even bother with KFC or Popeyes. If you want fried chicken, this is the place to go.

Nice atmosphere and bar, good service. This place is serving up the best brats I've ever experienced... period. The butter on top was sublime and rich The bun exactly toasted perfect and the grilled onions just tied it all together perfectly. Highly recommend.

Their seak burgers are unbelievable, served on a buttery bun with a choice of perfectly seasoned tater tots or broasted potatoes that are simply divine. And for dessert? Prepare to be amazed. All their torts are seasonal and homemade daily making them an absolute must-try, even for non-dessert people. Just a heads-up: they close at 7 PM, so be sure to arrive early.
